DJ Equipment Rental in Costa Rica

Speaker Hire Costa Rica is a DJ equipment hire and sound rental company based in Playa Grande, Guanacaste, with a second pickup point in San José. We rent professional Pioneer DJ decks, controllers and Electro-Voice powered speakers to DJs, event planners, villa guests and hotels across Costa Rica. To be clear from the start: we rent equipment only. We do not supply DJs, so you or the DJ you have booked will play on our gear.

Whether you need a single controller for a sunset session at your rental house or a club-standard CDJ booth for a festival stage, everything on this page can be booked online or over WhatsApp, delivered to your venue and collected after the event.

Popular DJ rental setups

Controller setup: DDJ-FLX6 + ZLX speakers

The Pioneer DDJ-FLX6 is the easiest way to get a party going. It is a 4-channel controller built for Serato DJ, so you bring your laptop with your library, plug in and play. Pair it with two ZLX12 powered speakers for a living room, terrace or pool deck, or step up to ZLX15 tops when the guest list grows. This is a good choice for beginner DJs and for anyone who already mixes on Serato at home.

Standalone setup: XDJ-RX3 rental

The XDJ-RX3 is an all-in-one system with a built-in mixer and a large touchscreen. It plays straight from USB, so no laptop is needed, and it has Beat FX, Sound Color FX and Loop Slice. XDJ-RX3 rental is our most requested option for weddings, private events and club-style sets, because a DJ can walk in with a USB stick and start playing.

Club booth: 2x CDJ-2000 NXS2 + DJM-900NXS2

For professional DJs who expect a club-standard booth, we rent the full setup: two Pioneer CDJ-2000 NXS2 players (USD 450 per night each), the flagship media player found in booths worldwide, plus the Pioneer DJM-900NXS2 mixer (USD 400 per night). That is USD 1,300 per night for the complete booth before delivery and VAT. CDJ rental makes sense for festivals, touring DJs and events where the artist rider asks for Pioneer players. Add ZLX12 monitors and the PA of your choice.

Speakers, monitors and bass

Every DJ setup needs sound. The Electro-Voice ZLX12 and ZLX15 are powered (active) speakers with built-in amplifiers: plug in power, connect the mixer or controller, and you are ready. A ZLX12 also works well as a DJ booth monitor. Add the QLC 18-inch Subwoofer for deep, punchy bass under the tops. Browse all speakers for rent or all mixers for rent.
